So many questions, but I'll hold them a bit. I'm not sure that flies would be found so much underground. I could be mistaken of course.
Guns are loud, very loud. Firing two shots in a sewer would be deafening. I remember making the mistake of firing a 454 Casul (described as a hand cannon) without hearing protection, out in the open, and my ears rang for hours.
That has been the only thing to jump out as me as I read. Aside from that, this serial has been fantastic. I'm a little disappointed that Phillip wasn't eaten by the meat beast. At the end he seemed a little concerned about going back up to the surface. Either he has something to fear up there or he has a job to do back in the underground.
I'm also hoping that Four can be repaired and wasn't completely damaged.
